John Vierra

John Vierra is an audio/Pro Tools engineer.  He is a graduate of Heald College in Honolulu and the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Arizona.  After working in Las Vegas in the late 90s with composer Scot Rammer on projects with David Cassidy, Paul Taylor, Wayman Tisdale, HBO, Inside Edition, Disney and various show productions, he moved back to Hawaii.  Since 2000, John has worked with seasoned and up-and-coming artists and producers. He currently runs his own audio production company, Blue Drip, and teaches MELE classes in Audio Engineering Technology (AET).  John is a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES), the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts (HARA), and the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS).

 

Jon Ross

Instructor, Audio Engineering Technology
BMus - Musical Engineering Technology, Ball State University

Jon Ross received his Bachelor of Music degree in Musical Engineering Technology from Ball State University in Indiana.  He studied studio and live sound reinforcement, music theory & composition, sound synthesis, electronic & computer music composition, acoustics, and minored in physics/electronics.

While analog was still king, Jon started using Digidesign to edit E-mu samplers and experienced the evolution from Soundesigner to Pro Tools. In addition to teaching Audio Engineering Technology (AET) classes at MELE, Jon handles also handles technical, maintenance and studio operations.  Through his own company, Ross Audio Media Services, Jon's work in the industry includes: recording and live sound engineering,  audio tech work, ADR, music projects at Hawaii's Blue Planet Sound, a Bioacoustician for Dolphin research, and audio post projects for Ushuaia, National Geographic Asia and PBS Nature.

 

Eric Lagrimas

Eric Lagrimas is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He has a degree in Music Business/Management and spent his early professional music career in New York City with companies such as Billboard Magazine, Cherry Lane Music Publishing, and working alongside a Top 40 record producer.  In 2004, Eric returned to Hawaii and worked primarily as a music licensing administrator and music producer.  His projects have reached the Billboard music charts and recognized with a Na Hoku Hanohano and Hawaii Music awards.

Eric teaches MELE classes in Music & Entertainment Business (MBU).  He remains active as a musician & producer with Pass Out Records and Pass Out Music Publishing.  Eric's professional music affiliations include: the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts (HARA), the National Academy for Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS), Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI), and American Society of Composers, Author's and Publishers (ASCAP) and the Music & Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA).
